Is AviWare FAA approved?
No. AviWare is a training tracking and school management tool, not an FAA-approved recordkeeping system. Your school keeps its official training records as required until it's approved by the FAA for electronic recordkeeping. AviWare is designed to make that paperwork easier and to run alongside it.
Does it work for Part 61 and Part 141?
Yes. AviWare works for Part 61, Part 141 and mixed schools. Part 141 tools like stage and end-of-course checks, chief instructor sign-off and course minimums are there when you need them.
How do CFI signatures work?
The CFI reviews the lesson and signs with a personal PIN. Signed entries are locked. If something needs fixing, the CFI makes an amendment and the original stays on record.
Can students edit their logbook?
No. Students get a view-only logbook and progress view. If they spot a mistake, they flag it, and their CFI reviews and fixes it.
What happens when a lesson is signed?
The training record and stage progress update, the charge posts to the student's account, and the aircraft's Hobbs and tach roll forward so maintenance alerts recalculate.
Does AviWare track currency and medicals?
Yes. Flight reviews, 90-day landing currency and medical dates are checked when a pilot books a rental, and expiring items show up in notifications.
How does pricing work?
Starter is $299/month for up to 5 aircraft and Pro is $499/month for up to 15 aircraft, each plus $10/month per aircraft. Founding schools get discounted pricing. Schools subscribe; students and instructors never pay for an account.
Can we bring our existing data?
Yes, and migration is free. We bring over students, aircraft and history from spreadsheets or the scheduling and training software you use today.
How fast can we get started?
A small school can usually be running in about a week. That's an estimate, and it depends on how much data you bring over. The six-step setup wizard covers the basics in one sitting.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. AviWare runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install. iPhone and iPad apps are planned.
